7 Top Cafe Hangouts in Singapore

As a self‑confessed cafe dweller and someone that just can’t resist a cosy aesthetic hangout, here’s some of my favourite cafe spots in Singapore! NO. 1

PUNCH

The perfect rainy day hangout spot, with dreamy warm light interiors and a tropical garden inspired patio. I come here often for great cup of coffee, and their grilled cheese with tomato soup‑ which is to die for!

NO. 2

Baker's Bench Bakery

A gorgeous little bakery located into the heart of trendy Tanjong Pagar. I love working remotely here with a delicious ice oat latte, and one of their home bakes. The food options are also delicious with generous portions!

NO. 3

Five Oars Coffee Roasters

Another great spot to work remotely, with good vibes and wide open space inside. There’s also a lovely outdoor seating area, and the avocado toast with ricotta and sea salt is a must‑try!

NO. 4

Chye Seng Huat Hardware

Great location, great coffee and very photogenic! This Industrial‑chic spot is a former hardware store, now good for gourmet coffee, eclectic eats, gadgets & gifts.

NO. 5

The Glasshouse: Specialty Coffee and Toast Bar

Located in Chijmes, The Glasshouse serves guests an assortment of toasts, gourmet sandwiches, and aromatic coffee in a pretty glass house with a garden‑esque décor. It’s a yes from me!

NO. 6

Plain Vanilla Bakery

This bakery cum retail store nestled in the quaint neighbourhood of Tiong Bahru is such a gem. They offer a selection of bakes and daily brunch menu, and it’s a great little spot to meet friends of a weekend. You can easily spot them by looking out for the vintage cycles and outdoor garden that line the front of our store!

NO. 7

Curious Palette

With minimalist‑scandi interiors and rustic furnishings, Curious Palette is a cafe‑restaurant that makes for the perfect brunch spot! With an aroma of freshly brewed coffee as you walk in, this place is a must!

I hope your enjoy trying out these cafe spots for yourselves, and for more of my Singapore recommendations including bars and restaurants, you can check out my Singapore Ebook Guide The S Word.
